Confessional Identity
We believe, teach, and confess that Christian doctrine ought only be based on the inerrant and inspired written Word of God. As Christians, we also honor and uphold the three ancient Ecumenical Creeds (Apostle’s, Nicene and Athanasian).
As Lutherans we adhere to the Lutheran Confessions as they are contained in the Book of Concord because they are a correct and faithful exhibition of the Word of God.
The Gospel and Sacraments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are the focus of our life together in the Church. All of the Church’s ministry and mission to the world flow out of and into these Means of Grace.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” ~ Ephesians 2:8-9
The Bible establishes the priority for our congregation: to assemble regularly in the Divine Service , to hear the life-giving Word of God, to receive His life-giving Sacraments, to praise His holy name and to increase love toward our neighbor (Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:23-25).
Dr. Martin Luther's Small Catechism contains the basic teachings of the Lutheran Church.
